Is it okay for parents to whip their teenagers with a belt depending on what they do?

I got a spanking at 17 years old for a good reason. Things I did kept building up so eventually my mom finley just had enough. But I want to here yall comments because at the time I felt that I was to old for a whipping. But now that I look back I thank my Mom for that because it got me back in line. I strongly believe i deserve that. But enough about me whats yall comments on this question?
