WTF since when can integrated graphics play graphic intensive games?

I build a computer about 2 months ago and since the i recived it the graphic card has done nothing but crash. So i took it out to send it for testing and i notice that my intergrated graphics can play all my games! Like 3d games not 2d like maple story... Omg since when!?!? i remember when this was not possible!
