What do i do if my computer won't detect one of my two hard drives?

Ok, this isn't the only problem, my computer is also randomly shutting down! I've had a blue screen twice now, but no data was lost. Also, it seems that the computer shuts down faster when a more graphics intensive program is running. Will I need a new computer?!?!?
