I purchased Burge's Ear Training Super course and have made it through several of the stages, but find it difficult to stay disciplined doing this alone. Out of all the musician's I've approached, none of them seem interested in pursuing any rigorous aural training, let alone perfect pitch. Annoying High-Pitched Noises?

Can a weak or faulty power supply unit cause graphics card to overheat?

Your PSU won't cause the GPU to overheat directly, but could be the reason indirectly. 105 is really hot for a GPU (graphics processing unit) but the greatest reason is lack of airflow in the case. There should be at least two fans in your case, one to draw the air in, usually from the front, and one in the rear to push it back out. Many systems have 4, 5, 6 just to make sure there is good air movement. Also the GPU heatsink could be jammed with dust and other debris causing this problem. But the biggest reason is likely that you are overdrawing your PSU causing it to generate tons of heat. A basic system with a 4650 runs about 150w, a weak PSU that runs at 70% inefficiency (which is not unrealistic for a generic PSU) maxes out at around 190w, making it work hard to power your system. I suggest get some canned compressed air, blow out the GPU heatsink at the least but also change your PSU for something beefier.

Dancers: help! sore feet?

Hey so I've been dancing for 4 (almost 5) years and this week I'm taking a dance intensive at my studio. It's 7 hours a day and includes pilates, modern, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre dance. I left my foot undeez at home so during modern and lyrical I danced barefoot. After I was finished my feet were killing me. The calluses on my feet did nothing for me, it's as if they were ripped of my feet because it seems as if they aren't there anymore. I think it's the pirouettes that really got to me. Anyways, I know it's bad to dance barefoot, blah blah, but I really need to know how I can cure my sore feet because tomorrow I am going to die if I have to dance for 7 hours on these feet. Give me any home remedies you have or lotions I should try. Thanks!

So I'm learning how to scream metalcore/post hardcore/screamo, however you put it. I'm decent but I can see at points where I'm horrible, like clean screams. What are the odds 3 of 4 RAM cards go bad around the same time?

For a while, I was having lots of problems with my computer that seemed to come out of nowhere. Lots of BSODs, occasional freezing (not during any intensive mind you), occasional crashes, and some weird issues with AVG not updating (general error). My computer came with 3 GB of RAM: 1 GB x 2 and 512 MB x 2. I tried taking all but one 1 GB card out and ALL the issues went away. I only noticed that it was slower during startups and shutdowns but otherwise about the same as before these issues arose. I let it run on this one card for a day (PLENTY of time for my issues to come up) and it was fine. I tried adding the other 1 GB the next day and instant BSOD so I took it out. I tried one 512 MB and my machine wouldn't turn on, I just got a black screen. I checked to make sure it was in properly, black screen is all I would get. I'm now running with the one 1 GB on the other 512 MB and it seemed fine until I had a random crash and now AVG is giving me that error again. It seems like all but the first 1 GB card went bad all at once. How likely is this and what could have caused it? Could it be an issue with the slots rather than the actual cards?

If you can upgrade the CPU to i7-2600 because it tends to be better in graphical designing because of 2 extra physical and theoretical cores and larger cache memory. Also if you can go for a HDD with 64MB cache (2TB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 64MB Cache), and pair it with a SSD. It will be good because you need quick load times. And I'd really change that GPU, but Dell doesn't seem to offer any good solutions, so I'd go with the cheapest one and buy GTX 580/570/460 (because of CUDA) or the new Quadro series (which is for designing) etc. afterwards.

Common knee injuries among dancers?

I'm a ballet dancer, and I have severe bow legs that sometimes cause me a lot of pain. I'm currently in a summer intensive which has reaally exacerbated my knee pain to the point where I sometimes can't walk...Pointe class hurts the most, however they won't let me skip the class or take the class on flat unless I have an actual diagnosable injury. Now, I knoow this is bad, but is there any sort of very common knee injury in dancers that I can say I have to get out of at least pointe? The SI is over at the end of the week, but I'm afraid if I push it I might actually really hurt myself and not be able to perform in their show.

Looking for people who have found relief from insomnia with sleep medication?

Okay, I've asked this question before but I'd really like to hear from people who have found a good sleep medication that helps their insomnia. I'm seeing a psychotherapist and going through an intensive day treatment program at my local hospital to help my depression and PTSD, so this is not the only method of treatment I'm using. I've used the "pams" like clonazapam, lorazapam, etc, but these are quick to become tolerant to. My psychotherapist who is actually quite on the naturopathic side of psychiatric treatment even told my psychiatrist that I need something that will "knock me out", and that's when I was prescribed the clonazapam. Besides the benzodiazapenes (sp?) has anyone found relief of insomnia through other sleep medication? Please don't answer if you're just going to say medication isn't the answer, or try relaxing or breathing, because I've done all this. Thanks in advance.

I guess the upbringing wasn't strict enough, that sorry to say your daughters have climb over your head in another word spoilt brats. Punishments should be given at the correct timing. Eg. When they complain the dirtiness make them clean it. Wasting the marshmallows, make them pay for it etc. There's many ways to control those situation but you kind of let them slip. I'm not a mom, but i'm the eldest in the family. My aunt have issues with her kids to. I manage to control them. From them i learn that you have to be very firm, to show your daughters that you cannot be pushed.

what i find most effective is to have no bench position players that way you dont feel bad if someone on your bench has a big day and you put him in next day and he sucks. so pick up pitchers and drop position players. no one really mentions zambrano but he is quitely havin a solid year and is unowned in alotta leagues. beachey is also a good pick up if you can. if you dont like any of the available pitchers try trading a couple position players and maybe a pitcher for a better pitcher. good luck

So when I was little I did rhythemic gymnastics. I quit around 4t grade and started focusing on ballet. Sunday is a intensive pratice with a pro soccer player who played on the national german team and was in 2 world cups. Im very active and have alot of endurance but i recently broke my wrist playing soccer so i put on some fat. Ive been putting more on and on and i have a bad diet since i am moving to a different house in a different country so i can only eat fast food nothing that takes hours to prepare like we normally have. I usually never eat breakfast and have a moderate dinner and lunch. I snack alot on bad foods but usually i burn my calories and stay at a healthy weight. Im about 102-104 lbs and im 4 foot 11 inches. Im 14 years old and i think im getting ready for a growth suprt. Im now putting on fat so im densing up. Im not like out of breath or anything but i dont have a six-pack or pecs. Im very weak at my upperbody. I can lift about 400 pounds with my legs. No im not trolling. I just want to know if the exccess fat on my body can contribute to me growing and me thinning out because thats exactly what happeend with my friend. He was chubby his whole life and now he went through his growth spurts and his voice is deep and he has a visible six pack and pecs and things. Im jsut very self-concious about my body which i think is kind of wierd. just to note again, IM NOT OUT OF SHAPE OR FAT. I have about a handful of fat on my stomach which turns into like one roll when i sit down. I just want to be like my friend. I am also a very late bloomer because my mother was late and my dad was below 5 feet going into college. Please no silly answers and 10 points to the best thought up answer that will help me. Why cant I sing this note?

I listen to songs like Rocketeer by Far East Movement and Breakeven by The Script and l could match their pitch perfectly without my voice cracking or anything. I got tickets to go to see The Script at the Aviva stadium for Christmas. Concert is on the 3rd of July and I really have searched EVERYWHERE and can't find it. Is it possible to write have a triple major AND write THREE senior honors theses in college in FOUR years?

I think it would be impossible in any combination of majors for the vast majority of students. Something would have to give -- either not having three majors or not finishing in four years. You have to consider that you have to meet requirements beyond those of your major, since most schools also require various general education courses. And senior honors theses are typically closer to graduate-level work in the field than undergraduate-level work. It could be possible if you take course overloads every semester and/or take courses during the longer break periods (summer and winter). But I don't think this is reasonable for most people or something most students can handle.

The pitch will change teh torque and top speed. If you have a lot of people onboard or are pulling water skiiers, get a higher pitch. If you want max ecomomy and are not starting and stopping a lot, a higher pitch. I would start with a 15 for a 3 blade prop.

Peugeot 206 alarm noise when activated?

I have a 2001 Peugeot 206 glx which has an alarm. When I set the alarm I press the lock button, then within 5 seconds I have to press the little button below it to activate the alarm, when I activate it a really high pitched annoying sound will ring once, sounds just like the alarm if your wondering. I think that baseball and softball are very different. Ya everyone knows the bats are different, the balls are different, and the pitching is different but personally I think that baseball is way more exciting. In baseball there tends to be more action. The boys hit the ball more. I'm not saying girls can't hit the ball. It could be the pitching that is bad but either way the boys hit the ball more. Yeah. Little league. We wear down by 1 and I came up. I was batting 7th so no one was expecting me to doing anything big. There was a guy on 1st and and 2nd the pitcher threw a hanging curve and I ripped it down the 3rd base line for a 2 out triple. Why is my cobra making a buzzing noise?

I have a 2003 mustang cobra with a ported Eaton and upgraded upper and lower pulleys. Recently there has been a loud buzzing noise coming from what sounds like the supercharger (i could be wrong though). it gets louder and changes pitch when the RPMs go up. At idle you don't hear the noise at all. i have already replaced the bearings in the idler pulleys and about to change the oil in the supercharger. if that doesn't work i am taking the supercharger apart, however i do not wish to do that. i would be eternally great full if anyone could tell me what the noise could be and how to fix it.

Think the best way for you to start is by getting a zen garden or rubix cube. In a zen garden, you focus on the placement of the rocks or the lines in the sand and you get into this really great atmosphere. The rubix cube might do the same thing but it could also irratate you. Close your eyes, and clear your mind, mang. Some people also say a word over and over and that helps them not to think so much. You don't want to focus on not focusing on anything, just let your mind go free. It will take practice, but it's worth it ;).

MLB 2K11 joystick problems?

I am using a Logitech Dual action joystick on MLB2k11. But when pitching, when I start to select a pitch with the buttons it goes straight into the gesture, and you cannot control it with the right analog stick. You can only control the pitch with the actual button you selected the pitch with. I used this joystick with MLB2k10, and I never had any problems. It appears to be set up correctly in the controller configurations. Please help !

Hi I have been "bulimiarexic" (no binging just restricting & purging) for over a year now. My parents don't know only my bestfriend Tara does. When I got pregnant the texture on my hair totally changed and my shampoo brand decided to change everything on me so I tried some different brands. First of all I found that the "tea tree oil" shampoo by Paul Mitchell was the best because I started getting allergic reactions to some items during pregnancy and this one didn't. Plus it is really natural so it helped keep my hair under control. I also straighten my hair everyday but it tends to get oily before frizzy. A few nights ago I had a REALLY crazy dream. So in my dream, I looked out of my room and into the hallway and saw a woman walk into my room very slowly. As she got halfway into my room, she stopped and looked at me and then her eyes and mouth turned pitch black and she started screaming, like she was possessed, at me. I couldn't move or scream or do anything. But the weird part about the dream was I thought that I was awake and actually saw it. if it's ginger now and not in too bad condition, bleach it again and use silver toner on it to get it a less brassy colour. if your hair is in bad condition from the bleach, use a conditioning mask until it's better before you bleach it next. if it's not very ginger now, more like an orangey blonde, just use the toner now. you can also use silver shampoo if you can't get hold of toner.

There is a squealing in my car?

I have a 97 ford Taurus, we had a squealing in my car, we thought it was the belts, but they are new. we change the alternator, the squealing stopped for a day. came back again, we thought it might be the pulleys and changed those, still no change. the squealing is constant from the moment we start the engine, when we idle the noise grows quite, when we speed up it becomes intense. when we turn it changes pitch.
